Overview

How does BIFKiDS work?

BIFKiDS is built around a repeatable process kids can learn once and apply for life.

We fuse enterprise-level creativity, critical inquiry, and reflective practices into a project-led format, focusing on real problems, challenges, or opportunities. This makes BIFKiDS both adaptable and scalable - from a simple, one-hour at-home activity to a term-long program in schools.

BIFKiDS works like this:

1. Start with Knowledge

Kids first explore the global perspective of a chosen topic, then localise it down to a place-based problem or challenge. This place-based approach (Localised Curriculum Design) helps them see how global issues directly affect their own communities.

2. Creative Problem Solving

Armed with new knowledge, BIFKiDS create Better Ideas Fasterrrrr by blending sensorial creativity, critical inquiry, and hands-on imagination. They move through a simplified innovation process to both create and make their ideas real:

WHAT is the local problem?
WHY is it happening?
CREATE a BIF idea to solve it
SHOWCASE how it works in the real world

3. Present

BIFKiDS learn to confidently share their ideas, receive constructive feedback, and celebrate each other’s creativity. This step fosters resilience (personal and contextual), communication skills and a sense of accomplishment.

4. Reflect

Reflective learning cements new insights by relating them to existing knowledge and then trading this forward for ‘better’ purposeful action next time. At the end of each BIFKiDS project, students explore:

What worked?
What didn’t?
How can we improve next time?
